Continues

The pilgrimage continues. After four days in the mountains, we returned to my parents' house to say good bye and get the rest of our stuff. Monday was also my dad's 77th birthday. We wished him well with one of the best gifts possible--food: peaches, peanuts, watermelon, cantaloupe, muscadines (yes, there were muscadines), and boiled peanuts. My brother also took us out to eat.

The day was also interesting because we were communicating with others about our Texas journey. Since we had been without a mobile phone in the mountains, we had postponed numerous calls.

Now, we are waiting at the Prills in Nashville for our cell phones to arrive. We thought they would arrive on Monday, but since no one was there to sign for them, they are being delivered again today. As soon as they arrive, we are out the door and on our way to Abilene. We will spend the night somewhere along the way.
