Lyrical Controversy

Kyiv will (probably??) host Eurovision--a huge songfest among European nations--in late May and the song Ukrainians recently chose to represent Ukraine may get disqualified. During the Orange Revolution last year, the rap-like "Razom nas bahato" or ("Together we are many") inspired hundreds of thousands who stood in freezing temperatures to protest massive vote fraud. Now, Eurovision leaders may disqualify the song since it may be political propoganda. Check out these links: Esctoday and BBC's "Kyiv Goes Orange" . The BBC has an audio link where you can hear part of the song. Sometimes I still find myself humming it. Hopefully, the Eurovision bureaucrats won't ruin the fun.
