Back in the Saddle

Somehow we seem to have fallen off Blogplanet. After the holidays subsided, it seems we went back to work. We headed to Nashville the Tuesday after New Year and still haven't caught our collective breaths. We enjoyed a Wednesday night potluck at our sponsoring church and then I gave a presentation on the ministry. Thursday we did lots of bank stuff with Paul Prill and other matters. We enjoyed the Prills' hospitality immensely. Ate with the Shaubs on Thursday and saw a movie with Jonathan. He's doing better but has a long way to go. We are praying, Jonathan. Friday we went to a missions retreat in Henrietta, Tennessee, population about 17 as far as we could tell. It was a nice retreat place, dead animals on the walls and all. Sunday we were at Otter Creek and left after six hours of church. Wow. Then on to a life group that afternoon where it turned out I knew a lot of people from Lipscomb days. They are all having babies these days! Something must be in the water in Nashville. Then, dinner with Keith and Kristen Thompson Monday night after a long shopping experience at Opry Mills. Found some good bargains. And at some point in all that, we went to a crazy Italian restaurant with the Prills. All in all, we at a lot, talked a lot, and enjoyed being with our supporters.
I am preaching this Sunday in Knoxville and we will be busy a lot this weekend. My parents took us to eat at the Golden Corral tonight. I have figured out the reason I have gained so much weight and why so many Americans are so big. We eat too much.

We just saw Super Size Me a couple of nights ago. There's your definitive statement on eating too much (and exercising too little) right there.
