Bacheloring

I'm bacheloring tonight. First time in a long time. Lena finished her MBA class Wednesday night by taking an exam after our cell meeting. She went to Zhytomyr today to be with her family and help with her niece. It was a little unexpected, her early departure, so I am home alone. I watched a stupid movie to pass the time. I am also hoping to finish Noll's America's God, a very dense history of American theology from colonialism to the Civil War. I have learned how ignorant I am.
Next week the UEC president is coming to town. This week we finally worked it out so that we--in Kyiv--have access to the anonymous donation made last year. I am excited about getting our hands on these funds. I have a plan for increasing the library's shelf space to hold 2,000 additional items, and this donation is going to make that possible.
I had an interesting discussion/meeting with a student today. I can't reveal the contents but it's interesting the kinds of things we get involved in when ministering to people.
Natalya has had her first round of chemotherapy and in addition to what the government provides, she will have been to the hospital several times this week but is staying at home now. Her next round will be in 3 weeks. We have the funds for that, so we need to start looking for round three. Lena Bryan also gave birth to her fourth boy today.
The re-start of our student outreach begins on Friday. Vitaly is taking the lead and I am riding shotgun. Well, I am making the cookies at least. Hopefully the people we invited will come.
Turkmenistan has a new president in case you were too busy following the Britney Spears story.
