She's Here
Lena's sister Ira had a girl today (Saturday, June 25) around 6.00PM Kyiv time. They did a c-section but everything is OK as much as we know. Details and pictures later. UPDATE: Here are some details. She weighs 3.6 kg (or 7.92 lbs for those who have a difficult time multiplying by 2.2 in your head) and was somewhere around 50 cm long (over 20 inches). No name yet.
(By the way, we can't figure out why there is this big huge white space below this post. I guess there is a glitch with Blogger. Hope it goes away soon.)
UPDATE: Looks like the baby will be named Polina. We plan to go there on Wednesday if all goes well. I want to thank Kenneth and Victoria Kirby for calling last night and after a few attempts, we were able to establish a great connection over an internet phone and had a great conversation.
Today we have a long day ahead working at the UEC. Lena is working now and later plans to take another GMAT simulation. We are going to be dealing with a very difficult issue in the church this week. We ask for your prayers because we aren't sure how this relatively young body is going to respond to this challenge. Sorry to be so vague but sometimes you just can't explain.

Congratulatons, aunt and uncle! How very exciting! Sounds like a very healthty baby girl! We hope that mother and baby are recovering well. I can't wait to see the pictures.
This would be a baby that you can spoil and take care of temporarily without all the fuss of actually being responsible for it for long periods of time. :)

that's exactly what i am afraid of... that i will spoil that baby... :) i am looking forward to meeting her. hopefully, they will let me take pictures. usually, people here don't let anyone (except for the family) to see the baby for about 3 weeks...
