Saying Good Bye and a Little Inflation
We said good bye to the Laurel 5 yesterday. They are now in London after ten days of learning and ministry in Kyiv. We are especially thankful to the Laurel church for their support of our June conference. Over 50 people came and many were unbelievers. They also brought lots of stuff for the Center and some things we already have but will send to Byela Tserkov, a city we are trying to start another library in. We also received a great box of books yesterday from Mac Craig, one of our most hard working board members.
Today the city raised the prices on minibus routes from 1 hryvnya to1.75 hryvnya. I saw that the minibuses are now much more empty than they used to be. Another example of the crazy inflation we are experiencing.
Lena had her interview at the US consular today for her new visa. Praise the Lord, she got it!
We are also glad that our former intern Jonathan Shaub has been able to move back to Nashville for his physical therapy. He still has a long way to go, though. Pray for him.
Lena's sister found out this week that she is going to have a girl; everyone thought it would be a boy. She's due in about two weeks. Lena's mom is coming this weekend and I think they are going to start checking out the price of Pampers!
Our next summer visitor is Bogdan Andriychenko. He will be here for a few days in mid July. Our friend Oleg Skutsenya is coming to Kyiv this weekend so we look forward to seeing him.
Pray for Tanya Zhivov, a dedicated church servant, who broke her toe when a mirror she was cleaning fell on it at the church building.
To tell the truth, we are so tired from the short term mission team and so far behind in some other things, it's hard to think of what to blog about. What are you thinking about?

A lot if good news! Well, not the inflation, but everything else is great! Congratulations on the visa. Is it good for several years? Does this mean you will be visiting us soon?
I am so excited about Lena's sister's baby. I was thinking about her lately knowing that it's about time now. I hope that she is well prepared! What a wonderful time! Make sure to keep us posted!
we are probably going to come to US in December. it's a 5 year multiple entry visa which will allow us to go to US any time we need/want. :) i was pretty happy to get it.
Ouch! I will be praying.
