Back at Lipscomb
Lena and I made it back to Nashville Thursday night and are enjoying the hospitality of the Prills. This morning Lena woke up with a terrible cold, most likely the flu, and while she was at home sleeping and trying to get better, I was at Lipscomb. It's always odd going back there. Many things are so different now I don't quite feel at home, especially the changes in the student center. I keep expecting to find the huge staircase but it's just not there. I enjoyed a long talk with Stever Sherman, a missionary-in-residence at Lipscomb and taught two of his missions classes. We then met with some other church leaders for a long conversation and I fought traffic back to the Prills (wow, it was so odd to drive in crazy traffic--I actually like it!) where Paul had made dinner for a couple they had invited over. It was a fun evening but I felt sorry for Lena. Pray for her.
Saturday morning is the UEC board meeting. Pray about that too.
Pray for Kyiv and all Ukraine and Russia; an unbelievably cold winter is making life very difficult.
