We still have no internet at home, maybe by midnight tonight. It is so cold here, wow! We are fighting jet lag as usual. For some reason, it almost always happens that Lena and I have jetlag at completely opposite times. I can't sleep at night and she wants to sleep during the day.
When we arrived Tuesday, two of our friends--Lena and Anya--came over and stayed for a few hours. They along with some others had cleaned up the apartment and had filled the refrigerator with food! Borsch, noodles, tushenka, chicken. Yum.
Wednesday we were unpacking and figuring out that about 2/3 of our luggage was stuff for other people. Then, Oksana and Oleg came over. They were offering to cook something but we ordered pizza just to make life easier. They came by 6.30 or so and left at 12.30 that night. We enjoyed catching up with them. Oleg has moved back to Kyiv from Uzhgorod and has a great job with Sony Ericcson. They even provide lunch and free gourmet coffee to all the employees! I guess the UEC has some work to do.
We heard much of God's great work while we were gone. How he had answered prayers. One interesting prayer was for Igor to get a visa to go to Bogdan's wedding near Seattle. He applied but was denied. Then, before he left the Embassy, the computer system failed, another consular came over to look at what was happening, and then just randomly decided to grant him a visa even though he had already been denied. The Lord also seems to have arranged for several church members to be able to meet withsome people who have left the church over the last couple of years.
We thought we would have company tonight but a few others were busy or working. Friday night we have the big church group at the Center.

Chris,
Your first paragraph reads like a T/F logic puzzle from the GRE. Nice fallacy.
I hope you get Internet back soon. Your blog is the most entertaining thing I read.
Kenneth.
