The numbers are finally in for Ukraine's parliamentary election:

Party of Regions - 8,144,485 votes - 186 seats
Yulia Tymoshenko's Bloc - 5,648,345 votes - 129 seats
Our Ukraine Bloc (the president's party) - 3,536,459 votes - 81 seats
Socialist Party - 1,439,624 votes - 33 seats
Communist Party - 928,501 votes - 21 seats

It takes 226 to form a majority. This majority will select the new prime minister.

Today we made a major step forward in our local fundraising campaign. Over the last 2 days I've developed a plan, we've refined it some, and came up with a time line today. We had Vitaly and Lera over tonight for dinner. We went over all the wedding stuff, they think they have found a place. Fun, fun.

The UEC has a new website domain name (the site content is the same--just moved it to cheaper hosting). You are always welcome to visit us at www.ueckyiv.org .
