I continue to get over food poisoning. For some reason, I thought it would go away quickly. Since my Egyptian food poisoning two years ago, I've done a lot of reading about it, and why I thought it would go away quickly, I'm not sure.
Yesterday, graciously, Oleg, Vitaly, and Lera carried some of our things and a mattress from the UEC to our apartment. Not an easy task. A special salute to them and a big thanks. Oleg also brought a Diet Pepsi from Moscow. The wonders continue. They stayed for a while, and I enjoyed the talk. Oleg has agreed to serve in the small group ministry and we discussed at length what we should do to get the groups moving along. Discussions still need to be had about the student outreach but
The Center is open again for business, and all the regulars showed up, I am told. We have about 5 people who come to the UEC almost every day and are "needy" to say the least. Pray for patience for our workers since these people can be difficult to deal with at times.
I am also asking for you to pray about how I can best encourage, train, equip, and inspire more people to preach in the church. We have made some progress in this area, but it seems more needs to be done. I am just not sure what to do. I have never been much for just throwing someone up on the grill and watching them fry (though this has been done too often in my opinion).

I haven't said much about Ukrainian politics mostly because I still have a gagging reflex when I watch the news and have to listen to the prime minister. It seems that this government is going to last for a little while. It's surely a step backward for Ukraine. There is still a little hope that the Constitutional Court will do something. The justices were finally approved recently after an almost year-long wait. Everyone's on vacation now, mostly, so politics won't get interesting again until September.
