Coming to a Close

Our hours in America are coming to a close. We spent this day packing and deciding what will go and what won't make it. With new and very restrictive weight limits on carry-ons, the suitcases we bought a few years ago are now too heavy to take as carry ons, so I am carrying on a big blue vinyl bag. We had our last supper at Subway. I'll be saying good bye to Diet Pepsi Jazz Strawberries and Cream and Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. It's cold here in Tennessee (at least compared to what it's been) and it's incredibly cold in Kyiv. I am not ready for it.

We need to go to the bank before we leave. It was the one thing we set out to do today but didn't manage to get there. My parents will take us to a buffet before we leave. And then--gettin' on a jet plane. It's a long flight over that ocean and then it's a dreadful flight on to Kyiv.

Please continue to pray for Natalya, a Nivki church member. She has been battling cancer for a couple of years and she thought she had it beat. But a new malignancy has been found. Her brother and mother died this year.
