A Special Welcome

We want to thank everyone who reads the blog and posts. It's a great encouragement to us in a life that is sometimes a little monotonous and discouraging. So we are glad when friends out in cyberspace celebrate with us concerning our new couch or whatever is going on. Thanks everybody!!

Today we invited Marina and Jim Noyes over for lunch as a part of our efforts to encourage local churches to use the UEC more. We enjoyed some chicken divan, salad (can you have a Ukrainian meal without salad?), and wild rice. Dessert involved strawberries and cream. I very much enjoying blending Ukrainian cream into whipped cream. It's so cheap compared to America we do it often!! Jim and Marina work with a church in Vinogradar, a distant region. They have been working there for more than 2 years and it's also sometimes disheartening. Pray a prayer for the 20 or so people in Vinogradar church. By the way, a Kyiv update--we were told today Rick and Paula Walker have left Kyiv, are now in Texas, and will return someday but to Donetsk to work in a Bible school there.

We were in hell tonight in our class. Rambling through what C. S. Lewis and Lee Strobel had to say. We will still be in hell next week.
