Heav Wave Breaks

The heat wave broke yesterday. A massive thunderstorm pounced Kyiv yesterday afternoon with some regions reporting hail. Prospect Peremohy near the McDonalds was flooded with more than a foot of water. Fortunately, we were on a taxi-van coming back from the Christian bookstore in Podil when the torrent began. It was quite amazing to see how much can change in just a few minutes. People immediately starting running for cover, others got on transportation instead of walking as they normally would, cars couldn't move in the flooded streets. It reminded me of the flood of Noah and how God's judgment will come like such a flood. Howquickly the arrival of God's judgment will change us!

It's still quite hot in Kyiv. One night during the heat wave Igor Ouglev, Sergiy, and I slept on the floor in Center's library where our newly-installed air conditioner is.

Today we are trying to get ready for Cherkassy Conference, our eighth one. Lena has been calling people and I have been thinking some about some of the sessions. I ask you to pray that God will give us some wisdom. I have a feeling some things that we planned need to change but I am not certain in what direction they should change.
