What a crazy day today! Lena worked many hours on a translation project, the website, and working the desk at the Center. I had a long talk with Dima Zhyvov, one of our young people who spent the summer working in the USA. We are trying to encourage them to get back involved in the church’s life. Six of our church members worked in Wisconsin Dells this summer. While there, they found a nearby Church of Christ of six members, three of whom have PhD’s. I was glad they were able to connect with a body of believers there. I then taught two English outreach groups. I gave out Bibles in one and explained how we will use them for readings in the class and discuss them. That group has about 6 members and then in the evening I have a class of about 20. We finally got home around 10:30 and we kept working on one of these writing projects. We are trying to finish all this stuff before 67% of our writing team leaves Kyiv. Lena is going to Egypt with her mom on Sunday and Vitaly Samodin is going to the US for a brief visit. I am supposed to be finishing something right now but am blogging instead. Tomorrow is not supposed to be as action-packed.

We still have a great weather—no cold rains yet!! The chestnuts are falling—Kyiv is filled with thousands of chestnut trees and they make quite an impression this time of year.

Chris, if you need help with "these writing projects", I can help. If I can be of use.

Would you mind proofreading some? Looking for typos, spelling, etc.? Vitaly is proofreading and helping with translation but it would be good to have
a kind of copy editor????

Chris
