It has been several days of disappointment for me. First, at least important, the new government has yet to form; we are left in the dark as to who will be the new prime minister. And on to more important matters, not many came to student night on Saturday. Someone I was supposed to begin teaching English to cancelled on Tuesday. Another ministry meeting was cancelled. A person I was hoping would communicate with me hasn't. I've disappointed myself in not being as disciplined in studying Greek as I had hoped. I have tried twice to get a haircut but have been unsuccessful because of long lines. We were hoping to lower the UEC's phone bill by 40% by hiring a new company but they don't service our building.
But in better news, Lena is half way through her second MBA class. We were able to buy a new office chair today with few hassles. Our old one that was given to me by Joe Stephenson many years ago finally collapsed. I finished a book I was reading and near the very end found reason enough for reading the book. More on that in a later post. Lena's mom came to Kyiv on Monday and put up some new kitchen curtains and washed our other curtains. Somehow, she found that restful.
Sergiy did manage to change the UEC's website to new hosting, but that messed up our email newsletter program. So both our personal newsletter and the UEC's will be delayed for a while.
Spring continues to arrive. I saw green grass in one small spot earlier in the week. Anf for some reason, they cut down all the trees near the local McDonalds and ZAGS, and now have planted new trees, some fully grown.
