Polina Returns to the Blog

Where do the days go? Seems like I just blogged but now it's been several days. What has happened? Lena's relatives didn't leave until Tuesday. I am not sure where Monday went. I know I have had some meetings, some were canceled, postponed, or delayed. I have been back to the House of Furniture with Vitaly as we try to spend the anonymous donation money donated to the UEC. It's not an easy task. Tonight I led the cell meeting discussion based on my Sunday sermon. We've also been filling out another stack of immigration forms. I grow to hate these forms. I will say the IRS does a much better job than the USCIS does in telling you how to fill out a form. I have also been reading Eusebius. I know--he's not on the best seller lists. But people have been reading this odd collection of martyr stories, lists of bishops, summaries of heresies, etc., for more than 1, 600 years.
But what are those best seller lists anyway? I was interested to learn that none of the best seller lists are actual reflections of the best selling books. The NYT doesn't include major retailers like Wal Mart and Target and doesn't include Christian retailers. Christian retailers often don't want to be included in this info for some odd reason. Here is a fascinating look at all this from the head of Thomas Nelson publishing.
Pics include Polina sliding and Polina shopping.
And for all of you concerned about my ill-fated attempt at corning beef, I have learned from my mistakes and am back to corning. I think the problem was that I had the pan in the bottom of the refrigerator, not near the top which is colder in our fridge.
