Miracles Wanted
Today was a little slower than Wednesday. We had our regular schedule. But I stayed away from the Center until I just had to go. We had a group meeting tonight and celebrated Sasha Tolmachev's birthday. We also had two visitors at our meeting. One was an LST from last year apparently. As much as we can tell, he just showed up. Another was a young girl who had lived in Minnesota for a year as an exchange student and went to some kind of church there. Somehow, someone at that camp knew one of our church members. When she came back to Ukraine, she had Oksana's phone number. She called her. She was the only Christian the girl knew in the country--and actually didn't know her, just her phone number. So she came to church this Sunday, our Student Night Saturday night, and was at the group tonight. She almost started crying as she told the story of how she is sometimes ridiculed by her parents for wanting to go to church. We'll take any miracle, big or small. Keep them coming, God!
Pictured here is Lera, our acquisitions manager at the UEC, and Ira whom we just hired as our new part-time desk worker. She's getting a little practice in using the library system.
