I just read my post from yesterday. Apparently, I have lost all my grammatical powers and have surrendered to a "no proofreading" policy. I promise to do better. It makes me ashamed to admit I have a graduate degree in English. I guess I felt pretty bad when I wrote that. I appreciate Suzie's comment. Someone is reading this thing!!! Helps us know we are not alone.

Today was a full day with the student night. Since the student night cooking team had to go to an orientation for their Work and Travel program, I was left alone to cook. I shopped in two different stores and then carried 4 unbelievably heavy bags a very long way. Half way to the church building (after I had put the bags down to rest twice) I realized I could have just taken a cab. I think I have become too Ukrainian. I made spaghetti with a meat sauce and a nice bok choy salad. Fortunately, some people showed up early to help. I gave a talk on the resurrection. Easter is next week here, by the way. We had some visitors from the Sunset AIM program. That was odd having some other Americans around. And finally, since we weren't able to plan much of a program, we watched Wallace and Grommit on the big screen. Vitya brought the projector. So that was fun.

Trees have finally budded here. Of course, we have our space heater on but no matter. The march of spring cannot be hindered.

We had several new people at student night, so please keep praying about our efforts to reach out.

I'm preaching tomorrow on the theme of 30 Pieces of Silver. It seems to me almost all of us are generally pretty close to betraying Christ for 30 pieces of silver. May we learn to recognize Mammon for the spiritual force it is and resist it with all our might.

I'm still reading too! Just don't have any wise words to share.

I'm too cynical to say things like, "Hang in there!" or "Don't give up!" You already know those things. You already know that the important things are the relationships.
