Monday. Cold. Cold. Cold. Some light snow was reported early in the morning. A strong wind. I had a good ministry meeting tonight, a little UEC work now that things have calmed down a bit after last week, and we had dinner guests--Oleg and Sergiy K. We were featuring white chili, cornbread, pumpkin bread, and a kind of pumpkin souffle that turned out besides my best efforts to ruin it by not following the directions. I ran out of pumpkin at home and on the way to the Center tried to buy some, but the police were running all the sidewalk vendors off. Fortunately, I found a lady with 1 kg of cut-up pumpkin for about 60 US cents. Not bad. I microwaved it at the UEC and it worked like a charm. It was ready to go when I got back home. We enjoyed just being together. The ministry meeting was not very easy but I was glad the person came to me with their difficulty. Lena has finally tracked down the publisher of a Christian book we've been trying to find for some church members to give out in the street evangelism but unfortunately, there are only 40 copies left.
