
It's 1.23AM. The upstairs neighbors have just shot two bottlerockets off their balcony and have turned the music up. We are supposed to go to Zhytomir tomorrow to visit Lena's grandmother's grave. Ooooooop, bottlerocket #3.We had a great group for our cell meeting tonight. Many more than I expected. Lyuda also brought her famous Napoleon cake to celebrate Vitaly's birthday.

I taught about Joseph and Potiphar's wife and how she played in the race card. In the group, Misha Zhyvov (who is Jewish) shared about how much of his was determined by prejudice against Jews.

He couldn't enter certain universities, not even to bother to try. His children were sometimes treated badly. Racism, prejudice, anti-Semitism--all very real aspects of modern life.
Thursday night finally Lisa and Sergiy were able to come over for dinner. We enjoyed chicken enchiladas and conversation about relationships until about midnight. No bottlerockets that night.
