Kyiv has entered the winter, I think. Seems that way at least. It's cold and windy and rainy with some ice thrown in. Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty tiring. I hardly remember where they went. We had a long ministry meeting Tuesday night with several church leaders discussing some tough issues. Today I had three meetings: UEC staff meeting, a ministry meeting with a student, and then the cell meeting. I talked for 5 hours in a row and then remembered I needed to eat lunch. Some pretty tough stuff emotionally, so I am glad every day is not like this. The cell meeting was pleasantly calm; the crowd was down a bit.
I think I am going to rest a bit on Thursday. I have started Anna again and am committed to finishing it. Kitty just had her baby so I am sure Anna is soon to meet the train.... I am also trying to finish Barchester Towers.
We have begun watching season 2 of 24. It's torture, absolute torture. We watch it sort of like a movie, 2 hours per week on the weekends.
Friday means another cookie recipe: any suggestions or requests?
Lena and Vitaly were preparing the UEC's financial report today and I saw that our friends Sarah and Marcus had made a very generous donation to the UEC! THANK YOU!
I have nothing to say about Ukrainian politics. And probably won't until the presidential elections three years from now. Unfortunately, I find the US elections even less interesting except to say that Americans should never vote for an incumbent. I don't care how great of a lawmaker they are. We have term limits on the president for a reason and the same should go for legislators. Maybe then someone might do something based on what they actually believed rather than what is politically beneficial.
